The DB&DM Team ORC Classification Analytics team is looking for a creative problem solver, analytical and technically savvy Business Intelligence Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position requires an individual with excellent statistical and analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of business intelligence solutions and data engineering practices, understanding of hypothesis testing (including parametric and non-parametric testing), and familiarity and understanding of factors such as A/B testing random assignment, statistical power , p-values, confidence intervals, potential bias, and a good understanding of frequency statistics. The ideal candidate will help us build data pipelines and robust metrics platforms, perform advanced statistical analysis, and measure the success of model deployments.

  • Working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Ability to clearly articulate hypotheses, methods, results, and implications.
  • Ability to provide in-depth insights and analysis to technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Design and implement metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of classification models by understanding the nuances and potential pitfalls.
  • Use visualization tools and develop data pipelines to publish metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement various sampling techniques to be able to deal with problems that arise in sampling, such as: B. Sampling bias.
  • Able to perform statistical tests such as hypothesis testing, including parametric and non-parametric tests, and be familiar with A/B testing.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience in business intelligence, data analytics or similar role.
  • Proficient in scripting languages ​​(e.g. R, Python, SQL).
  • Experience using one or more analytical visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI).
  • Strong understanding of A/B testing, sampling methods, and other statistical analyses.
  • Proficient in descriptive statistics and familiar with inferential statistical methods.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understand how to improve code quality and optimize BI processes (e.g., speed, cost, reliability)
  • Understand modeling techniques
