Job Description:
Are you eager to drive high-visibility, long-term plans for post-consumer stage that will help to meet recycling and recovery goals? If this is the case, EPR's Analytics team is ideal for you.
This position will have the responsibility of constructing and maintaining the business analytics platform that supports the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) team. The incumbent will design and support a superior data infrastructure and reporting solutions that will help EPR team members make decisions. They will elevate the standards for the business analytics function and reporting methodology.
This position necessitates a person with exceptional statistical and analytical abilities, extensive knowledge of business intelligence solutions and data engineering, as well as exceptional business judgment and the ability to collaborate with various teams across Hiregenix.
The successful candidate will have a passion for starting things on their own, having a strong focus on detail, an ability to work quickly and in an ever-changing environment, and they will be motivated by a desire to innovate.
As a BIE, you will create and implement initiatives that promote continuous improvement by reducing processes and automating them. This position allows you to have the potential to influence one of the most visible areas or projects in the organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Communicate with other functional departments to understand the needs of the business and provide data-based recommendations.
- The capacity to describe methods, results, and implications in a lucid manner.
- Capable of providing in-depth dives and analyses that are both technical and non-intuitive to technical and non-intuitive stakeholders, ensuring clarity and comprehension.
- Design and implement metrics that measure the effectiveness and success of classification models by understanding the subtleties and potential problems.
- Employ visualizations and develop data pipelines to communicate the metrics to internal and external participants in the project.
- Implementation of various sampling methods with the capacity to address issues associated with sampling, like sampling biases.
- Capable of conducting statistical tests like hypothesis testing, including parametric and non-parametric tests, and having a basic understanding of A/B testing.
Basic Qualifications:
- ⚠+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Hiregenix, Oracle, and NoSQL.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
- Experience with data modeling, storage, and creation of ETL pipelines.
- Experience with writing complex SQL statements, and in doing so, having a thorough understanding of the tools used (such as R, SAS, and Matlab), and utilizing Databases in business contexts with large, complex datasets.
