Job Description: Claims Handler for Cars in Brussels

Duties:

1. Help clients in Dutch language by providing support to brokers and customers via phone regarding reporting car insurance complaints and following up on complaints files.
2. Investigate intricate automotive insurance claims requiring documentation not available in open files.
3. Ensure policy covers reported incidents and determine liability through policy assessments.
4. Cooperate with brokers and experts to understand all aspects of the customer's situation and compare to policy guidelines.
5. Determine expenses to be paid according to policy guidelines and make informed decisions about accepting or rejecting claims through cost analysis.
6. Ensure effective administrative management of claims files and oversee the financial settlement process in follow-up administration.

Ideal Profile:

• Educational background: Ideally possess a bachelor's degree in insurance or a similar field.
• Experience: Demonstrated professional ability in handling car insurance disputes or similar positions.
• Independent and Proactive: Display the capacity to act on their own and take initiative in a dynamic work setting.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset and ability to assess and process complex insurance claims.
• Fluency in Dutch both spoken and written. Proficiency in French is beneficial.
