Audit Manager

• Please note that German is compulsory.
• Join our Logistics Compliance team to work with Global Recruitment's global transportation and logistics leaders to identify and mitigate risks in a rapidly growing and complex global environment. We look for people who can apply knowledge of operations and internal controls to a variety of risk areas, including compliance, process, technology, legal, finance and project management.
• In this role, you will lead a team that works closely with Global Recruitment's logistics and transportation operations to understand their differentiated risk profiles. You will also work with various legal, finance and compliance teams to optimize compliance programs. This includes designing and conducting risk assessments, designing governance plans and evaluating policies.
• Work with the transportation team and other business partners to identify and assess regulatory and compliance risks associated with our ⚠P carriers. Vet new and existing ⚠P carriers to ensure compliance, safety, and terms of service, and investigate suspicious ⚠P carrier/driver activity and behavior that may pose a risk to Global Recruitment, our customers, or others.
• Conduct cross-functional assessments of risks and controls to align with organizational strategy and risk appetite. It is sometimes possible to use limited information to assess the actual situation and to make an independent decision regarding a ⚠P operator's integrity and compliance standards.
• Assists in linking policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, monitoring and reporting to improve operations, compliance policies and risk management. Work with the project team to develop business requirements and business controls in the implementation plan. Drive process improvements and manage implementation projects.
• Willing to travel on an ad hoc basis ⚠% of the time.

• Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in audit, risk and/or compliance, preferably in the operations, transportation and logistics industries.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English.
  • Analyze data from various sources to identify potential risk indicators and collaborate with internal stakeholders to advance root cause analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills to support data analysis and upgrade metric reporting.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the transportation or supply chain industry, preferably in a similar role in a high-volume logistics environment.
  • Professional experience in risk mitigation, fraud or compliance, internal controls, legal, HR compliance, employment, transportation or supply chain.
  • Experience leading projects and/or case management and/or experience improving processes.
  • CIA, CFE, CISA, CPA or similar risk, audit or compliance certification.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across diverse organizations.
