What you become part of: The purpose of this role is to promote sustainability, with a focus on packaging, in the most effective and efficient way into the core of our daily operations across different markets, making sure that sustainability is embedded into everything we do. This role is intended to maximize efficiency and synergy across different topics of sustainability, while also maintaining a central strategy of sustainability and external targets and goals. You will have a significant role in involving our local leadership teams in our sustainability agenda, you will also have to establish and oversee the sustainability of the organization and promote accountability for the delivery of our sustainability commitments at the local level. The individual will have a strong propensity towards project management, which will ensure that all of our markets are fully integrated and have a common perspective on sustainability, this will in turn, lead to a successful delivery of the project. Working alongside our expert on sustainability, the individual will facilitate the development of long-term strategies regarding key topics related to sustainability (e.g. Future Packaging Mix, a strategy for responsible packaging and collection, will ensure all aspects of the mix are fullyaligned and harmonious with the Global Recruitment at the OU level. You will have a significant role in helping our markets and functions share the best of practice and incorporate sustainability into our commercial endeavors and customer strategy. The role will be closely associated with the subject matter experts and leading thought within the central sustainability team regarding key topics, but not limited to packaging.
What is expected:
- Work closely with the director, Sustainable Packaging, to promote and coordinate the development of future pack combinations that are market-based in line with the Global Recruitment's-wide North Star 🔗 promote the BU's with deep dives that refillable and/or Packageless solutions
- Collaborate with the sustainability team to develop a long-term sustainable packaging strategy and promote the markets to implement this strategy. Educate yourself on the product's carbon footprint, and ensure that you fully comprehend and know the product's LCA, for example by promoting the development of local sustainable cases for packaging that would support the achievement of our sustainability goals in the future.
- Shares and transfer the best practices of one market to another. Create a platform that is ongoing in its development in order to share the best practices. Help with the delivery of the sustainable packaging roadmaps at the market level - with an emphasis on connecting the gaps between initiatives that are central to their design (e.g., collection, second packaging, rPET journey, etc.
- Drive alignment with other commercial teams and important customers on packaging, including the coordination of dispensing and refillable packaging experiments at a local level, this will ensure that the strategy of Global Recruitment is followed. The ownership of the company's decarbonization roadmaps pertaining to packaging is in line with Global Recruitment's ABP and LRP planning cycles, these cycles include the tracking and reporting of Global Recruitment's progress towards volume growth, pack composition, and central initiatives; these initiatives are in conjunction with QESH, E&T, Finance and Procurement, and Sustainability leads from BU. Work with the procurement and supply chain to create a long-term plan that will help you achieve the desired Sustainable packaging goals and strategy. Help and promote the development of country roadmaps regarding ⚠% Collection - including the forecasting of how much will be collected, DRS advocates, the keeping of track of costs, and efficiency and deviation from goals. Collection of ⚠% as a metric component of commercial endeavors, including ABP and LRP.
- Review the data's collection methods and adapt them to the local situation and create a dependable source of information in all regions. Help and predict country roadmaps to have all of the content (PET, glass and Alu) that is ⚠% recycled, continuing to collaborate with Technical and Procurement to match up and make gaps. Create a sustainable packaging rating and country data that supports decision-making and higher-level reporting. Create and maintain a centralized leadership role on, sustainable packaging that will ensure the alignment of markets, maintain the company's-wide visibility of progress, and support strategic decision-making.
- Drive/Support the discussion of the market at a high level with GMs and local LTs on issues related to packaging and collection. Ensure the sustainability of the metrics (e.g. The forward KIPIs associated with packaging (e.g., Skills and Essentials:
Adequate experience in Sustainability and Packaging is necessary. A strong project management style is required. Historical record of cross-country experience in working and the collaboration with local business leaders. Understands the local business landscape and Global Recruitment's-wide sustainability goals and targets. Having knowledge of the product's LCA (carbon, water) and/or collection system is beneficial. Effective communication and persuasive abilities with a strategic purpose. The experience of operating in a complex matrix system.
