The team: Global transportation services, research and applied science operations, is at the core of the YNG Team customer experience. Global transportation analysis teams are centers of excellence that include experts in engineering, analysis, science and technology, technical program management and development. We partner with centers that fulfillment, transportation, software developers, financial institutions and retailers around the world, all of which are intended to improve our logistics infrastructure and algorithms. GTS RAS is part of the scientific team dedicated to global transportation. The role: Applied scientist, speed and long-term network design

The individual in this position will have complete ownership of the augmented RAS Operation Research and Machine Learning models. They will assist in comprehending the locations of the limitations in our transportation system, and how we can reduce them in order to have faster deliveries at a lower cost. You will have the responsibility of designing and implementing cutting-edge algorithmic methods in transportation planning and network design, this will expand the scope of our Operations Research and Machine Learning tools, these will reflect the constant evolution of our network. You will promote the creation of a product that enables greater automation, scale and optimization of every aspect of transportation, planning the most effective network and modeling the impediments that prevent a greater degree of speed from being available to our customers, in order to maximize the utilization of associated resources. The results of your efforts will be apparent in the YNG Team EU's global network. The product you will create will have a range that involves multiple organizations that participate in YNG Team's operations and transportation and the shopping experience that we provide to our customers. These stakeholders include scientists, developers, and product managers as well as operations that fulfill transportation requirements. You will understand the teams limitations, which are included in your product; you will talk to technical teams across the organization in order to understand the existing tools and assess the potential to integrate them into your product. You will talk to fellow scientists around the world, in order to discuss the solutions they've implemented and discuss your peculiar knowledge with them. This is of great importance and necessitates an aptitude for taking initiative on a personal level and the capacity to design transportation networks and plan them in a creative manner. Successful candidates should have the ability to design and execute high quality algorithms, utilizing cutting-edge Techniques of Operations Research and Machine Learning.
