Job Description:

As an assistant publisher at Lannoo Uitgeverij, your role involves working with the team in the General Non-Fiction department to create controversial books in the fields of current affairs, social issues, economics and finance, and popular sciences.

You will be responsible for discovering new, controversial non-fiction books in various subjects and communicating with potential authors to help them with their writings. Overseeing the editing process, evaluating quality in form and content, as well as managing planning and financing are key aspects of this role.

Collaborating with the sales and marketing team, you will participate in promoting the books. Reporting to the publisher, you will also receive guidance from them.

Requirements:

• Master's degree
• Preferably experience in a creative field
• Ability to independently lead and complete projects
• Market-oriented approach to purchasing
• Financial responsibility for associated costs
• Proficient in Dutch, French, and English
