Job description:

As a Software Automation Engineer, you are part of the internal development team responsible for creating IT solutions and processing. Your tasks involve automating and documenting the process of developing internal programs, assisting colleagues in performing user and validation tests in the test environment, and proactively contacting partners in case of delayed data flow reception. You communicate with users and development team colleagues before the implementation of a program, typically occurring once or a few times a year. During this collaboration, you schedule daily and weekly deployment in production.

You assess technical aspects during the day to ensure successful evening and night operations. In case of program execution issues, you investigate the cause and discuss necessary actions with the development team. You observe processing during critical periods, including weekends, and contact team members for issue resolution.

You document all incidents, missed files, processing failures, etc., facilitate problem-solving, and hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with experience in client-server and/or web-based Java environments.

You are familiar with software tools for automation, planning, documentation, such as SPRING series, Dollar Universe, secure file transfer, JIRA, Confluence, as well as relational databases like MySQL, DB2. You pay close attention to programs, critically evaluate results before releasing them, stay updated on technology trends, and seek continuous learning.

You are a strong communicator, collaborative team player, resilient, and flexible. You are fluent in Dutch or French and have a basic knowledge of the other language.
