Your role as a member of the Shunter team involves positioning the trains correctly before departure and conducting a final safety inspection before departure. As a shunter, you ensure that the train is safely placed in the workshop or moved if necessary as the train passes through the area. This facilitates providing timely training to the technical teams so they can complete their tasks.

Your tasks at NMBS:

1. Perform safety patrols before the train operates or before it embarks on a commercial journey.
2. Handle HST devices either manually or using the MOL tractor.
3. Perform or plan the necessary actions to connect or disconnect the equipment.

Candidates must hold one of the following certificates: the first degree of technical secondary education; the second degree of technical secondary education; the third degree of vocational secondary education; a social promotion training after a minimum of 750 hours of training deemed equivalent to the other certificates with a complete curriculum.

And:

• You can read/interpret basic plans (mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic).
• You have a basic knowledge of electromechanics/mechanics.
• You are independent with a quick and efficient approach.
• You are communicative and can collaborate with other members of the association.
