SGS Life Sciences carries out all varieties of services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including the coordination and execution of clinical trials with new compounds or methods on humans, as well as support and advice regarding post-marketing registration. Other companies that specialize in life sciences have also expertise in the verification of pharmaceuticals. Currently, we have a position for a Cloud & DevOps Engineer (Mechelen) As a Cloud & DevOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the management of the Cloud infrastructure (Azure) and in the process of developing our in-house developed platform for software distribution.

One part of your primary duties will be:

• Control and monitor all of the installed systems, infrastructure, and software applications on Azure Cloud.
• Implement infrastructure and applications, and make sure they correspond with our corporate principles.
• Ensure that the Cloud infrastructure, systems and apps are dependable, secure, and implemented in a practical manner.
• Document and procedure descriptions, and keep them current.

You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering. You're familiar with the technical aspects of Cloud Engineering, Deployment or Similar Software Development. Of course, you have a deep understanding of Azure Cloud Services, and are proficient in the best practices of security. You're familiar with the Bicep protocol or other Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools. You have direct experience with the administration of Linux servers. You can seek out difficult Cloud issues. You're skilled at problem resolution and eager to learn. You can cope with pressure. You're proficient in both English and Dutch, and can comprehend and speak about the latter.
