The company Stadsbader was founded in 1946 in Harelbeke as a family business. The management is currently led by the third generation Dominique Valcke. The acquisitions of Deckx AO and Deckx EM in Dessel (2009), Van Maercke Prefab in Kluisbergen (2014), and BAM Contractors (2022) were of significance in terms of increasing specialization and strengthening the market position. Today, the group is still involved in about 250 construction projects in Belgium and surrounding countries. Under the leadership of the procurement manager and department manager, you will be responsible for the procurement of materials and subordinates for projects currently in progress, within the predetermined budgets. The infrastructure is diverse in content and sector. This includes earthworks, foundation methods, drainage, rough construction, and finishing. You will assist in the preparation of the file along the way until its initiation and support the project management during the execution phase. You will request relevant quotes from subordinates and suppliers. You will monitor the price quotes, discuss them in depth, and collaborate with project management and procurement manager in searching for the most technologically/financially effective method of execution. You will hold discussions with subordinates and suppliers, establish new connections, and examine the technical merits of the offers in order to arrive at an accurate comparison of supply and demand. You have a degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience. You are motivated by money. You are observant, social, and ambitious. You are familiar with the technical aspects of construction and are price-sensitive. You enjoy working with MS Office and ERP software applications. You achieve this by taking calculated risks and using a methodical approach. You are resilient to stress and meet deadlines and commitments when they are set. You are willing to expand your knowledge and further understand the basics of construction. In addition to a good understanding of the Dutch language, knowledge of French and English is an advantage.
